Feature description
Easy.School lets the coordinator decide on which days and time slots families can send messages to the school, both from the Easy Family app and from the web version. Outside these slots sending is blocked, but the family member can save the message as a draft and send it later.
This feature helps ensure that staff do not receive communications during the night, at weekends or whenever the school is closed, improving communication management and team well-being.
Note: the block applies only to messages sent by family members to the school. The coordinator and educators can keep sending messages to families at any time.
Note: the configuration applies to the location you are currently in. If you manage several locations, you must set the block in each of them.

This setting is in the coordinator side (light blue menu), inside the location:

How to enable the time limit
Step 1 – Go to the Communications section
Log in to the management system with a coordinator account and enter the desired location.
In the left-hand menu, click "Settings" to expand the submenu.
Among the submenu items, click "Communications".
Step 2 – Enable the time limit
On the Communications page you will find the option:
"Limit family messages to the school to specific hours"
By default, this option is disabled. To enable it, click the toggle (the switch) to the right of the item: it will turn green.
The following information text will appear:
"When enabled, family members can only send messages to the school during the time slots specified for each day"
and the Quick presets section and the list of days of the week will open.
Step 3 – (Optional) Apply a quick preset
Presets fill in the weekday slots (Mon–Fri) in one click, and you can edit them afterwards:
"School hours" — Mon–Fri · 07:00–17:00
"Morning only" — Mon–Fri · 07:00–13:00
"Extended hours" — Mon–Fri · 07:00–19:00
Step 4 – Set the time slots for each day
Click a day (or the arrow next to it) to expand it and see the slots already there.
To add a slot, click "+ Add Time Slot" and fill in the two required fields "Start Time" and "End Time". Example: 08:00 – 18:00
Click "Save" to confirm the slot.
To remove a slot, click the trash icon next to the slot.
You can add several slots on the same day (for example one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and different hours for each day, for example only Saturday morning.
Warning: a day left without slots does not allow families to write on that day. If you enable the limit without adding any slot, families will never be able to write.
Step 5 – Save the settings
After setting the slots, click "Save": the changes become active only after saving.
How to disable the time limit
To allow families to send messages at any time:
Go to Settings → Communications.
Click the toggle to turn it off.
If asked, click "Save" to confirm the change.
What families see
When a family member tries to write outside the allowed time slots, both from the Easy Family app and from the web version, a red warning appears on the message screen:
"Sending messages is not allowed at the moment. You can still save your message as a draft and try again later."
The family member can write the message and use the "Save Draft" button to send it when they are back within an allowed slot.

Frequently asked questions
Can I set different time slots for different days (e.g. weekends)? Yes. Each day has its own time slots, which you can add, edit or remove individually. A day without slots stays closed to messages.
Can I add several slots on the same day? Yes, with "+ Add Time Slot" you can create several intervals on the same day.
If I turn the toggle off, can families write at any time? Yes, when you turn the toggle off families can send messages with no time restriction.
Does the block also apply to absence notifications? No, reporting absences through the app's dedicated feature is not subject to this block.
