Why the name iRoma
When we started out, we had in mind to develop apps dedicated to tourism and in particular to the city of Rome, which besides being our home is also one of the most beautiful places in the world.
And so we thought to call ourselves iRoma, where the "i" stood for "interactive."
The first iOS App was beautiful, in our opinion, it encompassed all the churches of Rome, with references to the works contained in each church, artistic routes, offline map of the city of Rome. A gem in Italian and English.
Unfortunately, it sold very few copies.
How Easy was born
Like most projects, Easy was born out of a specific personal need.
When Sofia, the daughter of one of iRoma's co-founders, was enrolled in nursery school, we immediately realized the immense gap that this sector, nurseries and preschools, had in terms of cloud management systems (SaaS).
Sofia's facility, despite being one of the best in the area, had no idea what cloud software was. It had paper sheets hanging on the walls, photos shared on FB, and no attention to privacy and security.
Thinking it was a glaring oversight by that institution, we conducted a market analysis which revealed that 90% of Nurseries and Preschools were in the same conditions.
Analyzing the competition, we discovered that at the time there was only one valid product on the market, expensive and designed with the very old style of installable software. Ugly, not functional, and complicated. The world is rapidly moving towards the cloud and SaaS, simple-to-use software without worries. We couldn't just stand by and watch, so we created Easy, whose name embodies our mission: to simplify the work of education professionals for children aged 0 to 6.
The dream was to be able to provide the Easy software to Sofia's facility during her journey, unfortunately, we were not able to do so.
Today, however, after several years of hard work, we are proud to say that thanks to Easy, thousands of families can follow their children's progress from an App, that hundreds of Educators have simplified their work, and that many coordinators love Easy and thank us with fantastic reviews and comments.
