To register an absence as an educator accessing from the Browser, you have two options: single entry or multiple entry.
Register an absence with multiple entry
This operation is recommended for registering multiple absences at the same time, for example at the end of the entry time, or to register the absences of students whose families have not completed the registration via QR Code.
1. Access the Browser
Go to the green menu on the left, then “Multiple Entries” and click on “Absences”.
2. Step 1 - Basic Data
• “Date”: this is the date for which you want to register the absence; the system automatically inserts the current date, but it can be modified by clicking on it.
• “Sections”: through this select you can decide the sections for which you want to register the absences. You can choose from the dropdown menu all sections or make a manual selection. By clicking on “manual choice”, gray buttons with the names of the sections will appear; select a section by clicking on it, and it will turn green.
• “Pre-select students”: this option allows you to speed up the registration in the next step by ensuring that only some students are pre-selected. You have two options available:
• “All except already registered”: will automatically exclude students who already have a presence or absence registered for the selected date.
• “None (manual selection)”: no student will be pre-selected, and you will have to proceed manually.
To proceed to the next step, click the light blue button “Next” at the top.
3. Step 2 – Selection and Single Student Data Entry
On the next screen, the student cards filtered by the parameters entered in Step 1 will be displayed.
The student data is contained in a rectangle:
• If the rectangle is bordered in green, the student is selected.
• If the rectangle is borderless, the student is deselected.
To invert the selection, you need to click in the upper right corner of the card, where the “+” symbol is located.
Inside the card, you will find:
• Student photo (if uploaded)
• Student's First and Last Name and section
• Reason: the reason for the absence.
You can add a personal note by clicking on the pencil icon “view notes” present in each student card.
After making all the desired changes, click “Next” at the top.
4. Step 3: Summary and Confirmation
The last step is a summary screen where you will see:
• The date of the absence.
• The count of registered students, divided by section.
To confirm the save, click the light blue button “Save” at the top. If you wish to modify something, you can click “Back” at the top right to return to the previous steps.
Once the registration is complete, you will be taken to the educator's register where all the records registered for that day are present.
Register an absence with single entry
This operation is recommended if you want to quickly register the absence of a single student.
1. Access the Browser
Go to the green menu on the left, then “Single Entries”, and click on “Absences”.
Two selects will be shown:
• “Section”: select the section of the student for whom you want to register the absence.
• “Student”: select the student of interest from the list.
You will find a series of icons corresponding to the various types of registrations. Click on “Absences”.
WARNING: If the student already has an absence registered for that day, the message “The student is marked as absent” will appear.
2. Fill in the absence data
Upon clicking “Absences”, a view will open with the following information:
• Student photo (if uploaded)
• Student's First and Last Name and section
• Date, pre-set with the date selected in the previous view.
• Reason, that is the reason for the absence.
• Note, you can add a personal note.
3. Confirm or cancel the registration
• To confirm, click “Save” at the top right.
• To cancel, click the arrow at the top right on “Back”.
Once the registration is saved, you will be taken back to the single registration screen with all the available activity icons for registration.
